We are so excited for Christmas! We are doing things a little differently this year, but still want to be a blessing to our community! We are working with a local Children’s Home to bless some of the students in their program. There are also some other ways to be involved in giving this Christmas season.
1.) Provide a stocking for a student at the Children’s Home
Take a stocking off the tree by the main stairwell and follow the instructions. Each stocking is a $25 gift for a student.
2.) Provide socks for a student at the Children’s home
Bring in socks & place them in the bin near the main stairwell. Any size & style are accepted; they need socks!
3.) Adopt a family in need
Do you or your Life Group want to provide Christmas gifts for a family in need? Contact the Church Office at 812-476-3450 to be paired with a family. If you are a family in need, please contact the Church Office.
4.) Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (LMCO)
The LMCO goes 100% to support international missionaries with the IMB. Our Church goal is $10,000. Please be in prayer as to what you will give this year. Giving envelopes and online giving will be available the first week of December.
Lottie Moon was sent as a Southern Baptist missionary to China from 1873 to 1912. She saw firsthand the world’s greatest problem – LOSTNESS. Meeting so many people
who had never heard the gospel compelled her to write letters to American churches describing the need for a greater missionary presence. She pleaded for increased prayer and financial support to send and sustain more missionaries. This challenge became known as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering®. Every year, Southern Baptist churches collect an offering to send and support missionaries to be steadfastly present among those who have never heard the gospel.
