Josh and Beth Glymph
Jacksonville, Florida
Passage: Philippians 2:25-30
Focus: Philippians 2:30
In 2020, Josh and Beth Glymph planted Refuge Church in the Jacksonville, Florida, community of Ortega, an area that previously lacked gospel-preaching churches.
The Glymphs’ journey began when Josh felt a restlessness and God called him while he was serving at Fruit Cove Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Fruit Cove’s leadership saw a need for a gospel-proclaiming church in the diverse neighborhood of Ortega, which includes hipsters military families, wealthy individuals, and lower socioeconomic areas. Fruit Cove Baptist sent the Glymphs to plant a church there.
The Glymph family includes three adopted and two biological children. The family’s unique background has given them a deep commitment to adoptive and foster families in their community. One of the first things the Glymphs did after launching Refuge Church was start a ministry called Seek Refuge, which provides diapers, car seats, baby toys, and date night childcare for foster and adoptive families.
THE COOPERATIVE PROGRAM is the financial fuel for reaching every person for Jesus Christ in every town, every city, every state, and every nation. Through your church’s support for the Cooperative Program, you’re helping churches like Refuge Church serve their neighbors as they tell them about the love of Jesus.
PRAY God would continue to strengthen the Glymphs in their gospel work.
