Dear Church Family,

Nineteen years. It’s hard to wrap my mind around that number when I think about all the moments, milestones, and memories we’ve shared together. As I reflect on nearly two decades of ministry with you, one word continues to rise to the surface: thankfulness.

Like the Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 1:3–5, I can say with confidence:
“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”

That’s exactly how I feel when I think about you, my church family. You’ve walked with me through joys and sorrows, victories and challenges, and I love you more deeply today than I did all those years ago when our journey began. You are not just a congregation I serve—you are a family I belong to.

God has also richly blessed me with faithful co-laborers in ministry. I am so thankful for the godly pastors and staff I get to serve alongside every day. Their humility, dedication, and love for the Lord and His people are a constant encouragement to me. We sharpen one another, pray for one another, and share the burden and the blessing of shepherding this flock together.

I am equally grateful for our wonderful deacon body. These men model servant leadership in powerful ways. They love the church, serve with integrity, and stand alongside our pastors as trusted partners in ministry. Their presence behind the scenes makes more of a difference than most people ever realize—and I am deeply thankful for each of them.

As we look around today, it’s clear: God has us in a season of growth. New faces, new families, new ministries—and new opportunities. It’s both exciting and humbling to see the Lord entrusting us with more people to love, disciple, and send out for His glory. Like Ephesians 3:20 says,
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us…”

I believe God is doing just that—more than we could ask or imagine.

One of the most visible signs of this exciting season is the nearing completion of our North Campus renovation. In the not too distant future, we will open the doors of that facility, and with it, new possibilities for ministry will be unlocked. It’s more than just a building—it’s a tool for reaching more people with the gospel, discipling more believers, and expanding the mission of Oakhill Baptist Church into our community.

As we prepare for that day, I can’t help but think about what the future holds. And I truly believe our future is bright—not because of anything we’ve done, but because we belong to a faithful God who is leading us forward. The same God who has been with us these past nineteen years will be with us in every step to come. Remember, As God Moves, We Move!

So thank you, church. Thank you for loving well, serving faithfully, giving generously, and following Jesus wholeheartedly. I love you, and I’m more grateful than I can say to be your pastor.

I love you and I love being your pastor!

“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” - Psalm 107:1
